    Description

This is a hospital-based induction with the use of Buprenorphine to reduce withdrawal, reduce cravings and stop non-prescription opioid use. The benefit of starting Buprenorphine in the hospital setting is that it sets the tone for the structure and monitoring of prolonged therapy for opioid use disorder. Inpatient induction provides continual 24-hour monitoring for withdrawal and any potential side effects of medication or drug interaction. It ensures accurate dosing and provides a stable environment for induction with linkage to aftercare maintenance. Candidates for this program will undergo screening for clinical appropriateness.
