Description:
The Victim Service program assists victims and survivors of domestic, sexual, and dating violence, as well as stalking and human trafficking. The program provides a support system through victim advocacy services, including support, information, counseling, and education about the dynamics of domestic violence relationships. Also Sexual Assault Victim Services (SAVS) is the Rape Crisis Center for Brevard County providing free and confidential forensic exams, advocacy, and support services to sexual assault victims and their loved ones:
!¢ Assistance creating a safety plan
!¢ Assistance with filing for an injunction for protection and support during injunction hearings
!¢ Assistance with completing applications for the Address Confidentiality Program
!¢ Assistance with filing for the Attorney General!s Office!s Crime Victims Compensation program
!¢ Referral to community partners
!¢ Assistance with obtaining a Sexual assault exam
!¢ Assistance with personal care items for those receiving advocacy services
!¢ Counseling and Support Groups for survivors of crime
!¢ Emergency shelter for those fleeing intimate partner violence (**For the South!s entry I would recommend this also include transitional housing for women and children fleeing intimate partner violence).
